Reaching New Heights!

23/10/2012

Having completed dozens of ball court schemes over the years, this latest one at York University was an exceptional challenge for all sorts of reasons. As Frank Curry, Managing Director of Brambledown Landscapes explains;

As part of our contract to provide two 3G Artificial Pitch Facilities at York University's prestigious new Sports Village Complex, we were required to design and build a sports fencing system to surround a Full Size Football Pitch and a block of three Five-a-Side Courts. The client had produced a very exacting performance specification, which included some very high (8m) combined steel mesh and netting ball catch fencing, which given the ground conditions and exposed location of the site was no easy undertaking. Neil and the team at Middleton Forge, together with their suppliers, Citadel Fencing, came through with their designs, drawings and programmes for this and all the other fence types including spectator rail, and the fencing was completed on site, on time, and is often the case with these projects, in the most difficult weather conditions in a very tight programme situation. This could not have been achieved without the partnering ethos and cooperation of Middleton Forge, Citadel Fencing and ourselves.
