Vertical Bar Railings

Middleton Forge manufactures all of our railings in house, offering a wide range of specifications to suit all site conditions and the individual needs of each customer.

Vertical bar railings are generally manufactured into fully welded panels, from a range of steel sections. The panels are then attached to a post using security fixings and the fence system is created.

Our modern manufacturing facilities, experience, dedicated work force, quality of products and service has developed the good name that Middleton Forge has today.

Standard Vertical Bar inc Gates

Standard Vertical Bar inc Gates
This is generally the start for all railings. A top and bottom rail, with a vertical infill fixed to a post.

Standard Vertical Bar - Cranked posts

Standard Vertical Bar - Cranked posts
This option was fabricated with cranked posts allowing a good hold below the wall into a concrete foundation.

Standard Vertical Bar - Corner

Tubular Vertical Bar

Tubular Vertical Bar

Standard Vertical Bar - Ball top post

Standard Vertical Bar - Ball top post
Middleton Forge have specifically manufactured this railing to suit the radius of the wall; core drilled the posts into the wall and applied a swept end to the railing. Along with the ball top posts this was manufactured to suit the exact requirements of the client.

Cleadon Vertical Bar

Cleadon Vertical Bar
Instead of a standard top and bottom rail, we have applied a fully welded frame to the panel, the verticals have then been welded into position and the frame is attached to the post on fixed cleats.

Cleadon Vertical Bar - Stepped Corner

Cleadon Vertical Bar - Stepped Corner
Middleton Forge's accurate site measuring, and workshop fabrication has allowed us to use a fixed cleat and create the correct step. We also manufactured shorter panels to run the fence line around the corner.

Bowes Railing

Bowes Railing
A Tall, Grand railing. We have applied a middle rail and two finial types. These railings were designed with a level top rail following the coping of the building, but the height of the product varied to follow the falling ground.

Bowes Finial

Bowes Finial
We have a huge range of finials, which when applied to a vertical bar railing, creates a ornate product.

Blyth Railing

Blyth Railing
A vertical bar railing with an added feature to suit the architects requirement. Verticals are welded into a frame with fixed cleats which are bolted directly to the wall.

Blyth Railing 2

Blyth Railing 2
A semi-circular feature rail and pointed finials

Harton Railing

Harton Railing
A tubular top and bottom rail with verticals following a fluctuating pattern created this product.

Harton Railing 2

Harton Railing 2
The panels were attached to the posts using a very tidy, concealed cleat.

Harton Railing 3

Harton Railing 3
This product has been galvanised then plastic coated to a specific RAL colour. Plascoat PPA 571 gives excellent protection to the product especially in coastal regions.

Heaton Railing

Heaton Railing
Blunt pointed vertical; middle rail and lower infill verticals were applied to create this product

Heaton Railing 2

Heaton Railing 2
Our excellent measuring service once again allowed us to specifically make the product follow the site constraints.

Heaton Railing 3

Heaton Railing 3
This product is left with a galvanised finish

Coastal Railing

Coastal Railing
Designed to both the architects visual requirements and the highways safety requirements.

Coastal Railing

Coastal Railing
If not hard enough to manufacture on the level, this particular installation was carried out on sloping un-even ground.

The Headland

The Headland
A bespoke flow forge panel has been applied to standard vertical bar railings creating a unique railing type.

Vertical Bar with design rail

Vertical Bar with design rail
Applying a middle rail approximately 100mm down creates a feature which can be left blank, or filled with a component. Circles have been applied in this instance.

Vertical Bar with design rail 2

Vertical Bar with design rail 2
Middleton Forge have designed these panels to be stepped on site following the ground. The panel is very neatly joined to the post.

Vertical Bar with design rail 3

Heavy posts with an overhung cap adds to the appearance

Jesmond

Jesmond
We have applied blunt pointed tops to the vertical bars which have been welded into position "diamond to view". This has created a traditional railing.

Jesmond 2

Jesmond 2
Panels designed to blend in with the old existing architecture.

Jesmond 3

Jesmond 3
Panels fixed on cleats between brick pillars and core drilled holes fixing the middle of the panel to the coping.

Artistic Tubular Railing

Artistic Tubular Railing
This takes away the concept of the verticals being drilled through the top and bottom rails. The "Artistic Tubular Rails" simply welds the verticals to the front face of the rails.

Artistic Tubular Railing

Artistic Tubular Railing
Cutting each vertical to a different length creates the desired effect and softens a normal industrial look.
